Asalaam Islamic Society (AIS) is volunteer community based non-profit organization serving the needs of the Muslim community on the Mainline. Some of the activities that are organized by AIS include Friday Prayers, Zakat Distribution to needy families in our community, Sunday School, Tarawih Prayers, Ramadan iftar , Eid prayer and celebration and   Community Gatherings. Also, we have grave site available at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill.

Currently, there is an AIS Board comprising of volunteers from the Mainline area. The AIS Board is formalizing their community membership list which will be disseminated among the community members.

Also, the AIS board would like to involve the community in the activities of AIS as well as in the selection of the future AIS Board Members. The voting participation will be restricted to community members who will be supporting the various initiatives of the AIS on a monthly membership basis through a paid membership of $30 per person or $60 per family. Non-members are most welcome to join the AIS activities, however, the AIS Board encourages them to support the activities through regular donations.
